SHARING SOLUTION

CCB Subsea provide services that help operators optimizing cost and resource utilization.  There are major opportunities for operators through early assessment of subsea reuse and sharing opportunities, as well as operation optimalization and efficiency measures.  This allows for all subsea projects; either early phase feasibility studies on greenfield development projects or early phase planning of brownfield workover or life-extension projects.   

With support from Innovation Norway, CCB Subsea initiated the development of a digital portal for sharing of subsea equipment and tools in 2016 in cooperation with major operators Lundin, Shell and Vår Energi.  An application of the sharing portal was acquired by Norwegian Oil and Gas Association (NOROG) in 2019 and launched as SubQuip now in 2020 with 12 Norwegian operators as partners and participants. 

CCB Subsea aslo holds an application available for international operators, QuipShare.  Through QuipShare, equipment owners on a global basis can capitalise on existing investments and borrow from their ‘industry colleagues’, reducing lead time and save costs on maintenance, storage and re-certification.

CCB Subsea is supporting the SubQuip operators as consultants through NOROG, identifying sharing business cases and solve daily technical and operational matters.  Operators have already experienced the value of sharing; significantly reduced operational downtime, reduced environmental footprint, and reduced item lead time to enable earlier production start-up.

ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT OF SHARING

  • Each sharing item represents an environmental footprint associated with fabrication and delivery of new builds
  • A sharing case with a list of sharing items (BOM) can summarize the savings in CO2 and other environmental parameters
  • Reports on environmental effects of sharing can be extracted from QuipShare at any time, one by one or as accumulated over time on behalf of every operator or the industry as a hole

CROSS-VENDOR COMPETENCE

  • By use of the sharing platform in combination with our cross-vendor competence, we identify high value, cost saving and risk reduction business cases for our clients on their subsea projects
  • Business cases can be identified in all phases; from early phase feasibility studies, concept selection, engineering, execution and installation, production, intervention, and till decommissioning of the field

SUBQUIP – SHARING FOR THE NCS

  • An application of QuipShare was acquired by NOROG in 2019 for sharing between 12 Norwegian operators and their portfolios of subsea equipment and tools
  • SubQuip was launched by NOROG in 2020 for operators on the NCS, and CCB Subsea holds SubQuip super-user expertise and cross-vendor competence to support the sharing operators’ engineers
  • SubQuip is part of NOROG’s Supply Chain Management digital collaboration toolbox Virtual Inventory www.virtualinventory.no
