Well control equipment is critical equipment whose functionality is to ensure that safety is maintained during all drilling, workover, well testing and completion activities. Therefore, owners of well control equipment will recertify their well control equipment every five years to ensure the integrity and functionality of the equipment.
Our engineers have extensive experience with recertification projects and the relevant standards governing the design and recertification of well control equipment.
The entire process is done in cooperation with an independent third party and a technical representative from the Client. CCB Subsea has gained a productive partnership with DNV GL, who has developed the Recommended Practice DNVGL-RP-E101 – “Recertification of well control equipment”, which is followed for all of our recertification projects. Together with DNV GL, CCB Subsea will ensure that your well control equipment is fit for another five years in service.
